Message from the Founders
Mastermind Recovery was founded by Femi Popoola, MD. He is a Pastor, service-disabled navy veteran, board-certified General Psychiatrist, and board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. His brother, Dr. Oluwole Popoola is the Co-Founder. He is a board-certified General Psychiatrist, an Addiction Medicine Specialist and a Pastor.

Dr. Femi Popoola – President.
Dr. Femi Popoola is a U.S navy veteran and distinguished physician with 15 years of experience, holding double board certification in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Known for his clinical expertise, empathy, and ability to connect with patients, Dr. Popoola has made a profound impact on the San Antonio, TX community since his arrival as a missionary and psychiatrist in 2021.
In response to the community’s needs, Dr. Popoola alongside his brother who is an Addiction Physician, founded Mastermind Recovery. He also runs an international one-on-one mentorship program that is transforming lives.
As the CEO of Graceland Psychiatric and Neuromodulation Center, established in 2021 and currently serving over 6,000 registered patients, Dr. Popoola provides free medical services for those served by Mastermind Recovery. His commitment to charity is evidenced by his personal investment of hundreds of thousands of dollars into Mastermind Recovery’s charitable initiatives within the first two years of founding it.
In addition to his professional and charitable work, Dr. Popoola is a devoted husband and father, a successful entrepreneur with multiple thriving businesses, and the pastor of New Testament Christian Mission in San Antonio. During his free time, he loves to play soccer and try out diverse restaurants with his wife, Mary, and their three children Joshua, Ella and Abigail.
Dr. Oluwole Popoola – Vice President.
Dr. Oluwole Popoola is a board certified psychiatrist and addiction medicine specialist.
He is the co-founder of Mastermind Recovery and currently serves on its board as the vice president.
He additionally serves his immediate community in the DFW area as a Pastor and owns a private psychiatry practice.
He is married to his beloved wife – Taiye Popoola – and they have 2 children – John and Ruth.
